On this 10-day itinerary, you’ll visit Rwanda and Uganda as well as four national game parks known for their abundant wildlife. Along with the Kigali City Tour, you’ll go on a wildlife drive in Rwanda’s Akagera National Park. Day 1. Arriving at Kigali international airport

When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, our tour guide will be waiting for you. Later on in the day, the tour guide will take you to the Kigali Genocide Tribute, which acts as both a permanent memorial to those who perished in the genocide and a cemetery for the bereaved. You could decide to see Kigali City first, then the Kandt House Museum. In Kigali, you will stay the night in a hotel or apartment.

Day 2: Game drive  Safari in the Akagera National Park -Rwanda

Take a game drive in the afternoon after arriving in Akagera National Park from Kigali. Akagera National Park is located in eastern Rwanda, close to the Tanzanian border. It is characterized by savannah, low mountains, wetlands, and woods. Wildlife like zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and hundreds of bird species, including the uncommon shoebill stork, are protected by the varied terrain. Hippos and crocodiles live in the enormous Lake Ihema in the park’s southern region. You will go to the Lodge in the evening, where you will eat dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Transfer From Rwanda’s Akagera National Park to Uganda

From Rwanda’s Akagera National Park, you’ll transfer to Uganda’s Lake Mburo National Park by road. Pass via Mirama Hills to enter Uganda. If you have the time, you might go on a nighttime wildlife drive before spending the night at the charming Lake Mburo Lodge, which is located inside the Lake Mburo National Park. At the camp, you will have dinner and spend the night.

You will do a morning game drive the following day before traveling to Queen Elizabeth National Park if time does not permit an evening game drive.

Day 4: Transfer from Lake Mburo to Queen Elizabeth National Park journey

You will move from Lake Mburo National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park on the morning of Day 4. You will do a game drive in the afternoon or evening after entering the park. At Kasenyi Safari Camp in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will stay the night. After Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second-largest national park in Uganda.

Day 5: Go on a boat excursion and a game drive.

You will go on a game drive in the morning, and then you will take a boat ride on Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. This canal is one of the most significant elements in Queen Elizabeth National Park, providing a superb view of the park’s most significant animals. Expect to see the largest number of hippos in the entire world, several Nile crocodiles, and over 380 bird species whistling and winging by, all adding to the Pearl of Africa’s magnificence along the natural Kazinga Channel. Throughout the year, a significant number of wild creatures, including a high concentration of hippos, as well as several bird species and reptiles, congregate on the banks of the Kazinga Channel.

Day 6: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Queen Elizabeth.

After breakfast, you’ll go to the Ishasha Sector, where you may spend some time admiring lions that can climb trees, before continuing to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. To be prepared for a morning gorilla tracking trip that could take up to six hours depending on where the mountain gorillas are, you will spend the night at Ruhija Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 7 of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s Gorilla Tracking

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park gorilla tracking. You will gather at the park’s administrative center in the morning for training from the park rangers on what to do and what not to do when you come across mountain gorillas. After that, you’ll go on a fantastic hiking journey through a mountainous thick forest, which could take 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ whereabouts. You will meet the gorillas and spend up to an hour with them before returning to the park headquarters and Ruhija Gorilla Lodge for lunch and relaxation. You can go to the nearby Batwa community in the evening to be entertained and learn about their distinctive culture.

Day 8: Rihijha to Lake Bunyonyi in the Kabale District travel

In the morning, you will travel from Ruhija Gorilla Safari Lodge to Lake Bunyonyi in the Kabale District. You will visit Lake Bunyonyi after spending the afternoon in Kabale Town, a stunning colonial town located in the Kigezi Highlands. You’ll spend your evening at the BirdNest Resort near Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9.Visit the islands of Lake Bunyonyi on day nine.

If time permits, you’ll also go to the Batwa (Pygmies) settlements and the Islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Locals refer to Lake Bunyonyi as “a place of small birds” since it provides fun activities like canoeing, swimming, and bird viewing. The lake is situated in the valleys of the Kigezi highlands, and several terraced hills add to Lake Bunyonyi’s natural beauty. Herons, weaver birds, and grey-crowned cranes are just a few of the bird species that flock to Lake Bunyonyi. The weather is generally mild, but the mornings are particularly chilly because of the mist that covers the Kigezi highlands.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali International Airport from BirdNest Resort.

Travel to Kigali from BirdNest Resort and then, in the evening, to the Rwandan airport. You will have a city tour of Kigali, if time permits, and go to the Kandi House Museum and the Genocide Memorial. Our tour guide will transport you to the airport in the evening so you can fly home again.
