Tour Plan
Katavi National Park is a wondrously distant park. It's one of the few places you can step back in time in Africa today. With only a few camps and people, this park in Western Tanzania is really wild. Enjoy an actual safari, full of bird-rich wetlands and rivers with a big herd of buffalos and lions. Enjoy your Katavi visit with African Travelers Ltd today.
The landscape is extremely diversified in Katavi. Its habitat mostly includes the savannah of grassland and the forests of miombo. Following the rains, the area becomes a verdant wetland with shallow lakes, acacia, and waterfalls. The lakes, Katavi Lake and Chada Lake are two. These lakes are open, cracked plains that fill only in the rainy season during the dry season.
In the dry season the park is totally off course, but full of wilderness. Great herds of zebra, buffalo, and elephants assemble around Lake Chada and Lake Katavi's water reserves. There are four of the Big Five (leopard, buffalo, elephant). The Katuma River is filled with hips and crocodiles, and unique antelopes such as sand and roan, hyena, and even the rare wild dog can be seen.
However, that Katavi is so isolated, this park allows much more activities in Tanzania than in most other parks. The wonderful National Park may all be explored for numerous reasons: off-road gaming drive, night drive, safaris, and flying camping. Your Katavi tour will be made a successful one if only you consider African Travelers Ltd as your safari tour specialists.
