Located 110 km from the capital Nairobi, a 2 hours 30 minutes’ drive, it is the second-largest freshwater Lake in Kenya. Lake Naivasha is located in the Great Rift Valley, Naivasha county, away from Naivasha town. A trip with us to the Lake will treat you to a stunning forest of Acacia, as you enjoy the humungous hippos sleeping in the shallow ends of the Lake or the magnificent sight of buffalos wallowing in the swampy, marshy areas. We provide a wide range of safari tours including excursion by boats for better views.The Lake has a perfect place to watch monkeys swing from treetop to treetop with a backdrop of the tall giraffes majestically striding across the acacia trees.
The Lake is an overflow of beauty with tranquil surroundings decorated with a variety of wild animals and bird species from the world over. The forest surrounding the Lake is home to over 400 bird species that are always spotted roaming around, including the white-fronted bee-eaters, kingfishers, jacanas and several African fish eagle’s species providing a perfect destination for birdies from all corners of the world.
The best view on the wildlife is always by the boat. The hippos splashing in the water, while the eland, zebras, giraffes and buffaloes are often grazing around the lake’s edges.  On the other side of the lake are the colobus monkeys who to people portray human characteristics. The Crater Lake Game Sanctuary nears the lake which is famous as a rich-wildlife nature track. On the southern side of the Lake is the Great Hell's Gate National Park protecting the wildlife habitation and offering excellent rock-climbing games, on the red cliffs of Hell's Gate Gorge, and the two extinct volcanoes. On the southern shore of The Lake Naivasha is the Elsamere Conservation Centre. The island is also ideal for activities such as hiking, biking, walking and weekend retreats.
