Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
A Heritage Safaris representative/driver-guide will meet and pick you up after breakfast from your hotel and you will set off at 7:00 am to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through several of Uganda’s major towns like Masaka, Lyantonde to Mbarara town where you will have lunch at Agip Motel. After lunch, you will continue through the tea plantations at Igara in Ishaka, through Kalinzu Forest Reserve, and finally to a great viewpoint of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Overnight and meals at Mazike Safari Lodge (Lodge facility) or Enganzi Safari Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility).
Day 2:Â Â Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all big game can be seen in abundance. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes, and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop, provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi, and bushbuck. After lunch proceeds to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an afternoon boat cruise along with the Kazinga Chanel. Overnight and meals at Mazike Safari Lodge (Lodge facility) or Enganzi Safari Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility).
Day 3: Kyambura Chimpanzee Tracking – Bwindi
After breakfast, you will head to Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee tracking, you will follow the chimpanzees as they look out for food and take good care of their young ones as a family, thereafter drive to Bwindi Forest National Park via Ishasha for the game drive for the tree-climbing lions with Lunch at Ishasha Wildness Camp, Thereafter be transferred to Bwindi. Overnight and dinner at Mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge (Lodge facility) or Silverback Lodge/Engagi Gorilla Lodge (Mid Lodge facility) or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget facility).
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking Safari in Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the mountain gorillas and the park. Enter into the jungle to search for the shy primates in their mist. One hour is allowed to stay with the primates for the clients to enjoy those playing, take unforgettable photographs. Carry with you the rain gear, walkable shoes, hut, insect repellent, sunscreens, packed lunch, and bottled mineral water. Spend the evening visiting the local communities around the park-like the typical Bakiga homes, local breweries, traditional healers, Batwa cultural performances, local schools, and art and craft shops. Overnight and dinner at Mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge (Lodge facility) or Silverback Lodge/Engagi Gorilla Lodge (Mid Lodge facility) or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget facility).
Day 5: Bwindi Forests – Kampala – Entebbe
After breakfast, embark on the safari vehicle and drive back to Kampala, lunch en-route. Stop at the equator again to shop for souvenirs from your time in Uganda to take back home. Drive to the airport for your return flight back home.

The park is home to wildlife such as Ugandan kobs, African buffalos, African Elephants, Topis, Nile crocodiles, Spotted hyenas, chimpanzees, giant forest hogs, and lions. It hosts over 600 bird species and over 95 mammal species. The equator crosses the park at zero coordinates where the landmark is a circular sculpture, tourists stop by to take photos. The park’s landscape is magical scenery giving you a view of Uganda’s glamour, during sunny days in the park you can view the peaks of Mount Ruwenzori as they touch the clouds and the vast golden brown savannah vegetation. The Queen’s pavilion is also one of the attractions in the park, it was constructed in 1952 when Queen Elizabeth the second had visited Uganda and later on renovated in 1954 for the visitation of the royal guests from England. From the pavilion, you get a perfect view of photographs of the park.
Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most popular savannah reserve in Uganda, is located in the western region approximately 400Km from the capital city, Kampala, by road.
