In the museum, you learn of Rwanda’s history from the 15th century through the artifacts and traditional materials displayed and get to trace the Rwandese culture’s evolution. The museum is in the form of a palace; the palace was built with the help of colonial Belgium for king Mutara 111 Rudahigwa who passed on before staying in the palace. You will also enjoy cultural activities such as Rwandese cultural dances The King’s Museum palace \became lively after the introduction of some cultural games, arts, and traditional dances where young people compete and the best win prizes. You will also get to see the sacred cows (Inyambo) with their large horns at the back of the loyal compound, and realize that despite having a striking appearance they only like lullabies being sung to them. The museum also helps explain some curiosities such as why the woman who looked after the King’s milk never married and why the entrance to the brewer’s hut had no lip.
