The yearly fair, KiliFair, which is organized as an international tourism and industry fair for firms in the Kilimanjaro region, is being promoted and presented. The fair is a corporate networking event for the tourism sector and a community fair to attract local residents, families, and expatriates. Â Karibu Fair (TATO) and Kilifair, both of which are well-known tourist exhibitions, have agreed to join in and establish by far the largest and most important tourism exhibition in East Africa. The newly formed “Karibu/KiliFair” will accommodate more than 350 exhibitors from Eastern and Central Africa, more than 300 foreign-hosted and semi-sponsored buyers, and about 4000 trade visitors during fair days.
Moshi is home to Bonite Botters Ltd, one of Tanzania’s three Coca-Cola bottlers. Also in Moshi is Serengeti Breweries, an East African brewery firm, which maintains a factory. Just south of the city is a TPC sugar Ltd farm which holds one of the country’s largest and the oldest sugar cane plantations. There are various small and medium-sized dairy and food packaging manufacturing facilities. Moshi also has a wet and dry tropical climate. Its weather is governed by monsoonal flow year-round. The northeast monsoon takes place between December and March and has the highest temperatures of the year. From June to September the southeastern monsoon prevails.
