Day To Day Lives
The Gorilla guardian’s village is a non-profit making organization that has its goal of improving the lives of gorilla poachers and local communities living around the Volcanoes national park.
All proceeds go into community development projects and the development of livelihood-based projects.
A tour of the village gives you a chance to interact with the locals in their day-to-day lives. You get to share in their heritage and treasures getting a taste of their culture.
The tour of the village comprises having a community walk where you get to visit different sites in the community, you also get to visit the king’s house and get an interpretation of all parts and stories of it.
You will enjoy the traditional dances and also get a chance to participate, a day in one of the local schools may also be exciting. Visitors also visit the local banana brewery and are taken through the process and later have a taste of it.
You can also spend a night in the village for a better experience of the lifestyle of the Rwandese people.
