How is the Weather and Climate in Rwanda?

Hiking boots are also very essential when hiking and trekking. A visitor may also require insect repellant, sunscreen, sunhat, and sunglasses.

Laundry is offered in most lodges and hotels though not all may have express laundry facilities. Visitors should make sure the laundry is returned before departure.

Are there any Health requirements to travel to Rwanda

It is advised that you should check the newly updated health advice specific to your country's destination 8 weeks before traveling. This is on National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC) on the Travel Health Pro website, there you may find the travel vaccinations required then consult with your doctor. Health insurance is also a requirement in Rwanda, make sure you have adequate health insurance, and in case of any health emergency dial 112 or 912.

With the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, all visitors are required to have a negative Covid19 certificate. The SARS-coV 2 Real-Time Polymerase is the only accepted test. It is carried out 72 hours before departure to Rwanda. The visitors should then upload the negative certificate in the passenger locator form before heading to the airport. Though accompanied children under 5 years are not mandated to the test.

What do I need to know about Visa?

Nationals of Germany, USA, Singapore, Tanzania, Mauritius, South Africa, Great Britain, Kenya Democratic Republic of Congo, Sweden, Uganda, Burundi, and Hong Kong are allowed to visit Rwanda without visas for a duration of 90 days due to bilateral agreements.

What are the time differences?

Throughout the year Rwanda observes central Africa time. Rwanda’s standard time is ahead of the Greenwich Mean Time by two hours, an hour ahead of the Central European Wintertime, and seven hours ahead of the Eastern standard wintertime.
